Transition to Independence Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Department of Cancer Biology and the NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Health announce postdoctoral training opportunities in a unique fellowship program entitled “Transition to Independence”. This program provides two years of mentored, NCI-supported training in basic and/or translational cancer research. In the third year, there is potential for promotion to the instructor level and the associated freedom to pursue extramural grant support that will facilitate transition towards an independent, academic career in cancer research. Take advantage of the exceptional resources and expertise in the Prostate, Breast, and Brain Tumor Centers of Excellence at a medical center that is nationally recognized for its contributions to research, patient care, and education. Located in the beautiful Piedmont region of North Carolina, Winston-Salem is part of a rapidly growing biotechnology sector, has a low cost-of-living, and extracurricular amenities ranging from the arts to the outdoors.
