A postdoctoral position in systems/computational biology is immediately available in the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, USA. The work involves the development and applications of cutting-edge mathematical, bioinformatics and computational methods to multi-scale high-throughput data (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics etc.), aiming at understanding immune responses to virus (e.g., HIV, influenza) infection and vaccination.
 
The ideal candidate will have a PhD with a strong background in systems biology, mathematical modeling, bioinformatics, computational sciences or similar. Knowledge and experience of molecular biology, immunology, and high-throughput omics data is desirable. Skills of modeling and analyzing large-scale dynamic networks (e.g., using ODE or DBN) are preferred. As a team player involved in multi-disciplinary researches, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The postdoctoral appointment is one year with possible renewal for more years subject to performance.
