Salary in the Range: £23,661- £26,629 pa
Fixed Term Contract for 1 year
You will join the Warwick Medical School (WMS), Clinical Systems Improvement (CSI) research group and will work with them to undertake research which involves cutting edge CSI techniques such as computer simulation of healthcare environments. The research will mainly focus on CSI in emergency care settings in the UK and Africa. This will involve preparing, setting up, conducting and recording the outcome of field work (such as observational studies and extraction of information from patient records). It is envisaged that you will apply for grants to build on the current research of the WMS CSI group either in Africa or other developing countries. In the first instance, the research will be conducted in the UK or may be conducted across the UK and Africa.
You will be medically qualified coupled with a minimum of 1 year's clinical experience (preferably gained in Africa). A strong research potential with the ability to publish high quality work in a relevant field is essential as is having the willingness and ability to learn modelling and computer simulation techniques.
Upon appointment, you will be expected to register for a Masters in Research at the University of Warwick.
