You will be based in a newly established research group within the Cancer Cell Biology Lab in the new Manchester Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Unit.
This project will focus on the role of the tumor microenvironment in breast cancer initiation and metastasis. We are interested in understanding the role of cancer-associated fibroblasts and tumor metabolism in conferring increased tumor recurrence, metastasis and drug resistance.
Using state-of-the-art genetic techniques, live imaging and genomic approaches, we will determine how cancer-associated fibroblasts contribute to tumor progression and metastasis.
Candidates with a recent PhD degree in biology, health or a related science and a publication record in peer reviewed journals are strongly encouraged to apply.
