Postdoctoral Research Fellowship - Department of Molecular Medicine

Investigator: David Dingli, M.D., Ph.D. Professor of Medicine

A post-doctoral position is available immediately in our laboratory. The person will work on an NIH funded project that utilizes a combination of high resolution in vivo molecular imaging and computational biology to understand the dynamics of tumor therapy with replication competent viruses in murine models of disease. Our laboratory has generated oncolytic viruses that can be tracked repeatedly and non-invasively using SPECT/microCT technology. The impact of the tumor architecture on the spread of these viruses within the tumor will be studied. A strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry is a must and the ideal candidate would also have a good background in mathematics or computational biology. Knowledge of programming in C or Fortran would be considered a valuable asset.
