Postdoctoral Research Associate at University of Cambridge – Department of Plant Sciences
Salary: £27,319-£35,646 pa
Limit of tenure: Funding is available for 3 years.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be available to start in January 2011 to join a team working on a five-year project funded by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation.
The main goal of the project is to elucidate the genetic basis of major innovations in body plan during plant evolution, and the first steps will be to characterise relevant aspects of development using a combination of genetic, imaging and modelling tools. Experience with plant tissue culture, micromanipulation and confocal microscopy would be beneficial.
