Two postdoctoral positions are available in the Computational Systems Biology lab led by Dr. Yin Liu at University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston. The ongoing projects in our group include but not limited to protein interaction prediction, signal transducion analysis, microRNA target prediction and Bayesian inference in biological network analysis. Funding is available to support the position for up to three years.
The ideal applicant would have a Ph.D. preferably in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics or a related field. Individuals with strong quantitative background (statistics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, etc.) and have some knowledge in Biology are also encouraged to apply. Research experience in cellular network modeling, biological pathways analysis, statistical genetics or biological data mining is preferred. Candidates should be very skilled in programming and be able to work effectively as a research team member.
