The Greehey Children's Cancer Research Institute (GCCRI) at the UT Health Science Center ? San Antonio is looking for an outstanding postdoctoral fellow to work in the laboratory of Dr. Alex Bishop.
We are seeking a motivated, creative postdoctoral fellow to work on DNA damage response and cancer. The candidate will be expected to participate in the ongoing projects within the lab, working closely with other members of the lab and interacting with collaborators. We are a highly dynamic interactive team working to synergistically drive each individual's projects using a multitude of state-of-the-art techniques and systems to address interesting questions.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. or M.D. in a relevant field preferably with zero to four years of postdoctoral experience. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, and ability to conduct research independently. The ideal candidate would have experience in using molecular biology and cell biology. Familiarity with biochemical methods and HPLC is desired, experience with mouse xenografts and pharmacological agents in vivo is a plus. Salary is commensurate with experience and accomplishments; starting at NIH pay scale.
