Postdoct Research Fellow vacancy in Biological Sciences at Univ of Edinburgh, UK
Applications are invited for a position as a postdoctoral research fellow starting as soon as possible to study the molecular mechanisms underlying Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis using Drosophila as a model system. The successful candidate will join the team of Dr. Giusy Pennetta at the Euan MacDonald Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Research, University of Edinburgh, UK. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Biological Sciences or other related subject. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have good analytical, writing and communication skills.
Candidates will be given additional consideration if they have prior experience with Drosophila genetics and/or electrophysiology. The post in funded by the Wellcome Trust and is fixed term for two years.
