A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately to design and develop the nanomaterial-based biosensor. Primary objectives include, but are not limited to, the development/application of nanotechnology for protein quantification of target proteins in disease models, use of multiple techniques to characterize target proteins in humanbiological fluids.
 
Candidate must have strong background in chemistry synthesis, nanomaterial characterization, and instrumental analysis of protein characterization. Qualifications should include strong expertise and hands-on experience in the field of nanotechnology. Candidates with additional experience in protein/peptide sample preparation and/or experience with LC/MS/MS quantification of small molecules/metabolites will be given preference. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn andutilize multidisciplinary experimental approaches including analytical chemistry, biochemistry, nanotechnology and molecular biology. Responsibilities will include development and execution of experiments, data analysis, manuscript and grant preparation, presentation of results, and working withcollaborators and other members of the research team. Applicant must hold aPh.D. or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline. Applicant must be self-motivated, methodical, detail-oriented, and possess excellent oral and written skills.
