Postdoc - Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Postdoctoral Research Fellowship - Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Summary

Investigator: Zhiguo Zhang, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Zhiguo Zhang in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Mayo Clinic. We are interested in chromatin dynamics and epigenetic regulations. Specifically, we are studying how epigenetic states are inherited during S phase of the cell cycle and how disruption of the epigenetic inheritance leads to human cancers such as ovarian cancer and brain tumors. Models in the lab include budding yeast, mouse and human cell lines. Our recent publications along these lines of research include Han et al, Science 2007; Li et al, Cell 2008; Burgess et al, Molecular Cell 2010; Kang et al, Genes and Development 2011; and Chan et al, PNAS 2011. For more information, please visit the following website http://mayoresearch.mayo.edu/zhang_lab/ to see our major research directions. Candidates who have solid background in molecular biology, biochemistry or cell biology and are highly self-motivated in research are encouraged to apply. Please send your curriculum vitae along with the names of three referees to:
