This is a temporary PRTLI-funded post for 4 years, full-time in Year 1 and half-time thereafter. The person appointed will be responsible for coordinating a structured PhD programme which involves 5 institutions. The successful candidate will participate in provision of some courses.
The successful candidate is likely to have a PhD and excellent organizational and communication skills.
Experience: Prospective candidates should have a PhD in a biological subject that relates to Neuroscience or Immunology. The candidate should have leadership and management skills. This position requires interaction between students and Principal Investigators (PIs), between partner institutions and between researchers and the funder, therefore the candidate should have excellent communications skills. The Academic Coordinator will be responsible for preparing 6 monthly reports and therefore should have experience in collating data from multiple sources and have the necessary technical writing skills.
