Post-doc in adhesive chemistry : Esch-sur-Alzette, LUXEMBOURG
The AMS/MAT is actively involved in the design and characterization of new materials with strong industrial interactions. A wide range of processing tools is available in-house to develop innovative materials and coatings with designed structures.
Our Material Unit is seeking a scientist with skills in organic synthesis to work on projects that mainly focus in the field of formulation of new adhesive systems. He/She will be part of the Adhesion and Joining Group.
FNR/AFR funding will be sought for the post-doc fellowship; the candidate is expected to strongly participate in the proposal writing.
The candidate is expected to: -
Synthesize and characterize organic monomers and oligomers for new, improved adhesive formulations - Synthesize, characterize and apply coupling agents (e.g. modified siloxanes) for surface modification -
Prepare and apply new formulations using synthetic and/or commercial chemicals for new structural adhesives Candidates are kindly asked to submit applications, including CV, a list of publications and other useful information (by e-mail with “AFR PDR 2012” in subject field),
