Opening For Postdoctoral Fellowship - Boston

Two postdoctoral positions are open in the Takahashi laboratory, located at the Fetal-Neonatal Neuroimaging and Developmental Science Center at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School, to conduct MRI acquisition and analysis for a new brain development study of humans and rodents. We are investigating developing anatomic pathways in fetal, newborn, toddler, and more matured brains of humans and rodents.
The successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in neuroscience, neuroanatomy, biomedical engineering, or equivalent degree, and will conduct structural and diffusion MRI on post-mortem, neurologically normal brains and brains with developmental, oversee data pre-processing and analysis, and help develop and test specific hypotheses concerning developing brain pathways. The ideal candidate must be mature, responsible, and creative with excellent organizational skills.
Research will be performed at the Boston Children’s Hospital in a close collaboration with the A. A. Martinos Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Previous research experience using MRI, particularly in developing brains, will complement the current research direction. Some knowledge of Matlab and Unix is desirable.
