Opening For Post Doc Fellow/Researcher - Philadelphia

Postdoctoral or Research Assistant position is available investigating the roles of the novel “gyrating-clathrin” membrane trafficking pathway in regulation of receptor signaling and cargo transport in eukaryotic cells. This pathway controls movement of receptors and cargo from the sorting endosome to the plasma membrane, thereby influencing persistence of tyrosine kinase signaling and recycling of cargos such as integrins to the cell surface, in turn affecting growth control, migration and metastasis. Approaches utilize high-speed live cell and single molecule fluorescence microscopy imaging, structure-function analysis and acute inactivation strategies in intact cells. Requires strong molecular biology skills and some experience in quantitative imaging
