Fellowship Position in Cerebral Ischemia Research

Research Fellow Position is available in Radiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging and the Department of Radiology at Harvard Medical School.
 
Responsibilities: The position will involve investigating the effect vagus nerve stimulation in animal models of cerebral ischemia using histopathology and neuroimaging (MRI and PET-CT). A minimum commitment of one year is required. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
 
Requirements: The candidate should have
• MD or PhD in neuroscience, physiology, pharmacology, or related field
• Familiarity with rodent surgical procedures (previous experience of rodent cerebral ischemia models and neuroimaging is highly desirable though not essential)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills using the English language
• Strong organizational skills
• The ability to work independently within the research lab on assigned projects as well as the ability to work well with others on a research team
• Computer software, equipment operation, and research technical skills.
