Get the opportunities to work with world renowned Epilepsy Centers promoting our VNS Therapy, in one of our most robust territories. We are not seeking the typical sales person; you must possess strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration, be a self-starter and an independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously and most importantly have the intellectual capacity to interpret trends and data, translating the information into actions and improvements. Ideal candidate will reside in (DC, Northern VA, or Baltimore area) 
Travel overnights will average approximately (1-2 per month) 

This opportunity will be exciting and challenging, seeking an entrepreneurial spirit to develop a comprehensive knowledge base of VNS, its uses, therapy areas & the market place. Successful Medical Device Sales Consultants will possess recent demonstrated aptitude and success in fostering solid, value-based physician relationships, and a capacity for interacting with patients in a clinical environment within Neurology. In this role, you will identify, target and develop new accounts that have the potential to implant VNS for Epilepsy, along with targeting and identifying of all physicians, surgeons, neurologists, nurses and patient support groups within the Northern VA, DC, and MD area. You will begin by implementing routing/targeted call plans after several weeks studying the current market of existing and potential clients with the current Area Manager. This will include conducting consultative sales calls on neurologists, creating surgical capacity appropriate for patient demand and utilizing our case management teams to aid in pulling through the patients. 

A critical sub-task will be to provide training & supervision to surgeons and other neurologists on VNS for Epilepsy. The Medical Device Sales Consultant will visit various healthcare professionals and Epilepsy Patient Advocate Groups. In this role, you will enjoy working interdependently partnering with the Regional Manager and Sr. Medical Device Consultants in the area.

It’s essential that the Medical Device Sales Consultant have 3 + years of successful selling experience in a medical field, preferably in a consultative role (e.g. Neuroscience Sales, HIV Sales, Oncology Sales, Diabetes Sales), where daily accountabilities are established, measured and rewarded. Our current Medical Device Sales Consultants possess a BS/BA degree, preferably in Marketing or Business. This opportunity possesses duel responsibilities; you will educate and build new business.
