An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Senior Research Manager in the critical care and perioperative medicine research group led by the Professor of Intensive Care Medicine, Rupert Pearse. The post will be based at The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.
Professor Pearse and his team lead research projects conducted across a large part of east London as well as collaborative projects throughout the United Kingdom and worldwide. Research interests include improving outcomes following major surgery, critical illness, polytrauma and acute kidney injury. The group is expanding following the recent award of an NIHR Research Professorship to Professor Pearse. This new post will underpin the further development of a world leading research programme led by the group.
The post holder will report to the Professor of Intensive Care Medicine, and will provide management of the group’s growing research portfolio. The post provides the opportunity to seek, initiate, organise and manage critical care and peri-operative research activity across Bart’s Health NHS Trust. The post holder will provide specialist expertise to maximise research collaboration, effectiveness and output, whilst helping to ensure the successful delivery of NIHR clinical research benchmarks.
The post is full time and on a 1 year fixed term contract initially. The starting salary will be £35,319 - £41,553 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme, interest-free season ticket loan and family-friendly working.
