This new genome browser called X:map looks like a promising competitor in the genome browser playing field. Drawing on Google Maps technology, this is an easy to navigate and eye-pleasing alternative to UCSC, EnsEMBL and NCBI's browser utilities.

Heard anything more about this tool? I just gave it a look and they havent added any mouse genes. Did funding dry up or something?
My guess is that it was a project of a graduate student or post-doc who has since moved on (and abandoned it).
