The Department of Physiology and Cell Biology, at the University of Nevada School of Medicine (Reno Campus) ( is seeking an outstanding scientist for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of Reproductive and Developmental Biology. The Department offers a vibrant and interactive research community, and opportunities are available for interactions within the broader University of Nevada, Reno research community. We are seeking a candidate who is using innovative combinations of both traditional and next-generation genomic, genetic, molecular and cellular approaches to understand contributions of gametes to early embryonic development and the impact of gamete quality on the health of offspring. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: epigenetic and genetic regulation of gametogenesis, fertilization and preimplantation development; transgenerational epigenetic inheritance; sex determination; germline stem cell biology; novel diagnostics and therapeutics for infertility and development of novel contraceptives.

Minimum Qualifications: Individuals holding a Ph.D. and/or M.D., or equivalent degrees, with two or more years of postdoctoral experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have demonstrated excellence in research and strong potential for securing and sustaining independent and collaborative extramural funding.
