I was wondering with regards to paraffin embedding technique - was it necessary to get a lab incubator for this process or what kind of other solutions might be possible? Looks like it should be absolutely necessary to maintain the temperature at a certain level for a certain length of time with regards to protocols (e.g. avoid brittleness of tissue sample) - so you can get the wax to penetrate the tissues just right. Obviously it has to be done well enough and not just boiled in a pot on a stove.So I was wondering if you had to do it with one of those expensive incubators or if it could be done with some other sort of device? hotplate? etc..? Please advise...This looks like the most important part of the whole process for staining and the only part I am yet to get sorted out.
