Are you asking if the 20% ethanol will interfere with the detection of endotoxin present with your precipitated protein solution?
Do you suspect the endotoxin is bound to your proteins or free in solution?

Yes my precipited protein contains about 20% ethanol residue which is just like a paste. At present we are using Lonza kit for LAL assay. When we dissolve the pptd proteins the ethanol also comes into solution which interferes with the test.
