Hello everyone,
I am a Biomedical Informatics master's student. I am currently searching for Bioinformatics research ideas to pursue. I am interested in a variety of Bioinformatics topics. Some of those topics are genome wide association studies, population genetics, sequence annotations, and integrating genetic data into EHRs. What are some interesting types of research or novel research ideas that I can explore in Bioinformatics? I appreciate your help!
Thanks,
Nate
please look for evolutionary analysis of antigens. it will give new insight how antigen has evolves
Thank you for the advice. I will look into evolutionary analyses of antigens. Are you also currently studying that evolutionary information? What originally got you thinking about that type of evolutionary analysis?
Developing protein modelling tools for larger proteins where much is to be done is my suggestion.

i have got this ideas as the immunesystem is devloped according to exposure of antigen so antigen must evolve earlier than immunity. and if it is not so it can give an insight into how same immunesystem evolved to resopond to different antigens
Nate,
In case you are still looking for a suitable project, you could look into bioinformatics of methylomes or miRNAs. There is lot of unmapped territory there.
Cheers,
So far I have been researching articles about some of your suggestions. The topics that have been suggested are very interesting! Work in those topics could produce some really important scientific discoveries in the future. Thank you everyone for your suggestions.
