Our client is a well-known French Institute dedicated to Research and Expertise in the field of Nuclear Safety. Its areas of specialization include the environment and radiological emergency response, human radiation protection in both medical and professional capacity, and in both normal and post-accident situations. This Institute is one of the international reference structures regarding nuclear safety. For its Radiobiology and Epidemiology department, we are seeking a:
Toxicology Laboratory Director M/F
Permanent position
Your key responsibility is to lead the Experimental Toxicology Laboratory including strategic, financial and operational goals. You manage the day to day running of the laboratory and lead a team of fifteen employees (researchers, technicians, PhD students, post-docs, trainees). As a Manager, you are responsible for the consistency and technical quality of the Unit’s work.
Your missions:
• Propose National, European and International research projects and collaborations
• Define the scientific vision and be a source of proposals regarding the improvement of the Unit activities
• Organization, planning, distribution of workload and resource management to achieve goals
• Communicate about Unit’s strategy and supervise the development of employees’ skills
• Promote the scientific projects internally and externally
Who you are:
You have a PhD in Biology, ev PharD or Doctor of veterinary medicine, with significant experience of at least five years on a similar position in research laboratory including confirmed experience in the supervision of a team of PhD researchers. You are recognized for your international collaborations and your scientific publications. You have a scientific expertise in the area of toxicology applied to acute or chronic contaminations. You have a thorough knowledge of biological and pathophysiological effects associated with cellular incorporation (inhalation, ingestion, dermal). 
Excellent communication, organizational skills, flexible mind combined with a team leadership to carry projects and reach a high creativity level and scientific excellence are required for this challenging position.
English fluent, French is a plus.
