Fruit bats especially migratory ones fly into areas with rich fruits and annoy the farmers with fruit eating habits but this is just a little conflict. They are also helping the seed dispersal and eating away many of the insects along with fruits thereby preventing the bigger damage to fruits. With the changing environmental and ecological conditions the roosting sites are also changing. I am studying a roost in my area for the last two years and I haven't noticed any significant change in their counts as yet. Any observations with anybody else? Is there anybody studying them in relation to rabies and related protocols, please discuss.
