The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and high goal achieving team of individuals supporting the growth and development of Agilent's Columns and Consumables line of products.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide applications assistance and technical support via the phone, e-mail, web chat or fax for customers seeking assistance on Agilent's products.
- Interface and team with the consumables and instrument sales teams including the Application Engineering team to assist in positioning Agilent products and solutions.
- Interface with Customer Service employees, and distributors, to assist with product recommendations.
- Conduct or participate in e-Seminars, trade shows and customer seminars.
- Provide feedback from customers and business partners to aid marketing in understanding the dynamics influencing customer purchasing decisions.
- Provide technical support assistance to help solve customer's application problems.
- Interface with product marketing, R&D, manufacturing on new product development ideas and key product issues.
- Research and document product and customer support/solution needs.
- Solve a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.
This position will require specific experience utilizing liquid phase applications in any of the following fields; pharmaceutical, petrochemical, forensic, chemical manufacturing and/or environmental.
Qualifications
- Position requires a BS in Chemistry or a related discipline, Masters or Ph.D. highly desirable
- 5 years practical experience performing LC analyses preferably using Agilent Technologies Liquid Chromatography instrumentation
- Experience with a variety of Zorbax LC column products is highly desirable
- Experience performing GC and or GCMS analysis preferably using Agilent Technologies Gas Chromatography instrumentation is desirable
- Excellent teamwork skills, commitment to tasks and flexibility
- Ability to work independently to plan, prioritize workload, schedule time, assess and solve problems
- Experience working with international customers desired
