Dear colleges!
What advantage gives Inteins for cell or organisms? Why protein splicing present in all three branches of life. Any one has ideas about this phenomenon?

Not a all. For today I find several other functions or possible functions of inteins - catalitic, variability and maturation providing, etc. If you will be interested for these, please feel free to e-mail me.
