C57BL/6 strain of mice are most responsive to complete epidermal carcinogenesis when dimethylbenzanthiacene (DMBA) is used compared to C3H and BALB/c mice. What mechanism or genetical predisaposition is involved to make C57BL/6 mice prone to skin cancer?

It could be due to a series of mutations and SS18 genes common between human and mouse. Does anybody else have some information? I need to use C57Black mice for immunization and I don't want them to catch cancer and die in the middle of the experiment.
