hi! friends I am working with antibiotic fermentation producimg penicillin,erythromycin and lovastatin.In penicillin fermentation we face mould and yeast contamination at production state please anybody is here to make useful contribution?

please check for contamination in master cell bank/ glycerol slock.

There are several ways for contamination to enter in reactor. I could suspect your environment is not clean plus care should be taken in sterilization and handling.


Preparation of seed culture and its trasfer is a very critical.
