no not really. It is not quantitative. IT is a tool and like a paint brush it does take some skill to generate good work. My first microarray experiments were reliable crap but over the years the results are improving now it is reliable. Hopefully in the future it will continue to improve WIth proper validation of results using proteomics microarrays can provide a powerful way to evaluate transcription profiles IMO.
