Does anyone know where I can find toxicity information on 2-diphenylmethoxy-N-methylethylamine? It is an impurity sometimes found in either dimenhydrinate or diphenhydramine. Thanks, in advance, for any responses.

Looking on PubMed I ran into a J Pharm Sci citation from a long time ago. We don't have a subscription here but maybe you can access the paper somehow? I just typed the molecule name in PubMed (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov)
Another thought, since OTC diphenhydramine use is so common, I would assume the impurity can't be too toxic or it wouldn't be on the market.

Perhaps, you can find some journals on the Pubmed website as you said.
Sometimes, the journals don't have the information you want but are still relevant to the topic you are working at.
Then, you may have to look at the references of the journals to see if the reference include the articles that contain the information.

ines27, we ended up working with a company called Chromadex which had standards available and who also had toxicity information on the impurities. Here is their website address http://www.chromadex.com/ . Hope this helps. tbc
