I am starting to prepare muscle sample for Immunohistolgy.
Trying to find out the different collagene fibers within the muscle (Psoas Major).
Any one did some staining of collagen?

We are about to do some staining in samples from subcutaneous tumour engraftments from SCID mice. There is often muscle tissue included in the tumour masses and we will be using picrosirius red to look at collagen. Will need to wait until next week to see if it works.

picrosirius red is one of the way to Histologicaly locate collagen.
The main issue is when you want to distinguish between the different types Vollagen I, II, III and thier sub spices.
