Mandatory Industry Experience: Protein Purification

*Years of Experience: B.S. or M.S. with 2-4 years experience in biological science with expertise in protein purification

*Primary and Required Skills: Experience with AKTA Prime and AKTA FPLC, Experience in SDS PAGE and Western blot, Experience in protein concentration determination

Required IT Skills: MS Office: Excel Focus
Required Lab Skills: HPLC

*DESCRIPTION OF DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES (Describe as complete as possible for quality results)

· Develop and execute novel protein purification protocols based on relevant literature.

· Characterize purified protein running SDS-PAGE and Western blot and also determine protein concentration using Bradford and Lowry methods.

· Ability to balance multiple projects as is the ability to multitask

· Must be highly motivated and able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in an inter-disciplinary environment

· Must be able to operate effectively in a team-oriented environment
