FACULTY POSITION in MICROBIOLOGY (Zoonosis)

The Department of Veterinary Biosciences, the Ohio State University is offering a tenure-track faculty position at the ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR level in the area of zoonosis. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D., D.V.M., or M.D, postdoctoral experience, documented evidence of high quality research, and a commitment to teaching and research at a major research university. Candidate will be expected to establish extramurally funded (Assistant Professor), have extramurally funded (Associate Professor) independent research program focused on microbial pathogenesis, and become involved in collaborative research in the College of Veterinary Medicine and broader University community. This position is part of a new university-wide Targeted Investment in Excellence in Public Health Preparedness and Infectious Diseases. Very competitive salaries, star-up packages, and excellent BSL-3, DNA, RNA, and protein core facilities are available.
