Chemistry/Biochemisty: The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Mississippi College is seeking candidates for Department Chair at the level of Associate or full Professor. The Department is composed of six faculty and a full-time secretary and offers ACS certified degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Excellent facilities for teaching and research are available, including a 400 MHZ multinuclear NMR and a single crystal x-ray diffractometer with low temperature capabilities. Qualified candidates with demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching and research and a record of scholarly accomplishment are invited to apply. Candidates are expected to possess excellent interpersonal skills, with a collegial style of leadership. Candidates must have teaching experience in organic chemistry or analytic chemistry or advanced inorganic chemistry. The position will be filled fall, 2009.
