Faculty Position in Organic Chemistry, Assistant Professor
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position.
We are interested in an organic chemist with research expertise relevant to fundamental properties defining and modulating macromolecular interactions, assembly, and function.
Applicants with research interests in chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, biopolymers, sensors, self-assembly, glycoscience, nucleic acid chemistry, post-translational modification or signaling are especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related discipline, a demonstrated research record, the potential for establishing a nationally prominent and competitively funded research program, and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching in organic chemistry.
Applicants should submit an application letter, a 3 - 5 page description of proposed research, a one page teaching statement, a detailed vita, and arrange to have three letters of recommendation forwarded to the search committee.
