30th Australasian Polymer Symposium (30 APS)
Nov 30- Dec 4 2008, Melbourne, Victoria

Link: http://www.30aps.org.au/

Dear Colleagues,
May I extend a warm invitation to you to attend the next polymer symposium organised by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) Polymer Division, the 30th Australasian Polymer Symposium (30 APS) which will be held from 30 November - 4 December, 2008 at The Sebel Albert Park Hotel here in Melbourne. An exciting and varied program is planned covering all areas of polymer science and engineering, including synthesis, characterisation, processing and modeling.

Topics will span biological polymers, through nanomaterials to mechanical properties and rheology. Presentations and discussion on intellectual properties and commercialisation of plastics is also a feature. Many years of successful APS conferences have shown that this is a great forum for hearing the latest in polymer research from top international and Australian polymer scientists, as well as presenting your work and meeting others and networking in a warm and convivial atmosphere.

This year it is being held in the gracious Sebel Hotel, overlooking Albert Park Lake and golf course, the site of the Australian Formula One Grand Prix. Close to the city and attractive seaside St Kilda, it’s an attractive location and a gateway to Melbourne which boasts many scenic, sporting and cultural icons and attractions.

So for quality polymer science and enjoyable, attractive surrounds, we look forward to seeing you in Melbourne in December, 2008!
