There is a movement to replace the use of rats in testing for pharmaceuticals and medical devices. The replacement species - lawyers! (Actually, the early proposals specified the use of Trial Lawyers only, but many of the other sub-species may also perform adequately.)

There are two primary reasons why lawyers are preferred over rats:
1. In the past, the technicians have sometimes become fond of the rats, and
2. There are some things a rat just won't do!
