The Second Gordon Research Conference on the Biology and Pathology of Cartilage will be held in Il Ciocco, Italy. This conference, which will now convene every two years, was initiated two years ago in Ventura, California and will now alternate between United States and European sites. The goal of the conference is to bring together cartilage scientists from all fields to further our understanding of the development, function and pathology of this vital musculoskeletal tissue. The overall topic of this year's conference is to form a bridge between chondrogenesis, (dis)function and engineering of cartilage.
