Job Description:
Reporting to the President, the individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Data Interchange (Biological) system. The Data Interchange system includes a database of diabetics and their families, with medical history and demographic information and a repository of cell lines generated from blood samples donated by participating families for research administered by Coriell Institute for Medical Research in Camden, NJ. The Director oversees both database and repository operations and supervises family recruitment. He/she is responsible for program planning, implementing timeline projections and project documentation. This includes the development of goals and tasks to increase the size and scope of the database and cell repository and to continually refine the system to better serve the needs of participating investigators. Researcher recruitment activities are also the responsibility of the Director, under the guidance of the Executive Director and President. He/she serves as spokesperson for the project at meetings and scientific conferences and is available to report on the project to the Steering Committee. Budget development and maintenance and grant writing for new support for the program are his/her responsibility under the guidance of the Executive Director and the President.

Pay Rate: 95,000
