Postdoctoral Position in Prion and Amyloid Research
Case Western Reserve University
Cleveland, Ohio, United States

Postdoctoral position is available to study molecular, biophysical, structural and/or cellular aspects of prion protein folding/misfolding, prion amyloid formation, prion propagation and transmissibility barriers [see Cell 121, 63 (2005); PNAS 104, 1510 (2007); PNAS 104, 18946 (2007); PNAS 105, 6284 (2008)]. Candidates should be highly motivated and have strong background in amyloid or prion research and/or biophysical methods (e.g., H/D exchange, mass spectrometry, EPR/spin labeling, solid-state NMR, light scattering, atomic force microscopy), protein-membrane interactions and/or molecular chaperones. Please send curriculum vitae and names of references to: Professor W.K. Surewicz, Department of Physiology and Biophysics, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH 44106. E-mail: wks3@case.edu.
