Postdoctoral position is available immediately at the Medical Biotechnology Center, University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute, Baltimore, USA to study biophysical mechanism of prion conversion and interaction of prions with nucleic acid. Training in biophysics, biochemistry, protein/RNA folding or structural biology is required. Experience in the following areas is highly desirable: protein-nucleic acid interactions, molecular imaging, atomic force microscopy, solid-state NMR, FTIR. Highly motivated candidates are encouraged to apply.

The University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute (http://www.umbi.umd.edu/) is located on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore, in a newly constructed, state-of-the-art research facility.
