Research Director/Manager
Cleveland, Ohio

Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities
1) Oversee the identification, synthesis and introduction of chemical products in the biotech as well as research market
2) Direct a staff of chemists, including Ph. Ds and technicians, to develop new products as well as produce current chemical products for orders
3) Identify potential new markets for existing or new chemical products
4) Coordinate product development with respect to specifications, regulatory compliance, chemical handling, cost structure and value to market
5) Interface with customers for technical support, product development and requests for custom synthesis
Requirements
1) Master's Degree or Ph. D. in Chemistry or a related field
2) Minimum 5 years of proven experience in product development and introduction in the biotech market
3) Working knowledge of organic and analytical chemistry
4) Supervisory experience of technical-based employees
5) Proven track record of chemical product innovation demonstrated through scientific publications and issued patents
6) In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, cGMP and regulatory guidelines
7) Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
8) Good time-management skills
9) Self-directed with the drive to succeed
