I'm going through a lot of cDNA kits and could do with saving a bit of money. At present I'm using Roche's first strand "Transcriptor" kit, which is excellent but pricey.

A colleague has switched to Applied Biosystems's Kit which is much cheaper, but it's too early to say whether it is better or as good as Roche's.

Stratagene have a kit which is supposed to be able to make cDNA from as little as 1ng of starting total RNA! This would be useful for some of the neutrophil expression work we do - does anyone have any experience of the Stratagene kit or recommendations for other kits?

Thanks

I use bio-Rad iScript cDNA synthesis kit (#170-8890). I am happy with it as the protocol is very fast and easy and it gives product from small amount of RNA like 100ng.
