An article in the Boston globe about establishing guidelines for stem cell therapy. People are spending large sums of money to have experimental stem cell therapy performed overseas. This is dangerous, and I believe these companies are acting in an unethical manner.

http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2008/06/13/more_patients_seek_experimental_stem_cell_therapy/

Here is a link to one of the companies websites:
http://www.beikebiotech.com/

and a quote, "Of the over 3,000 patients that have been treated with our stem cells, about 70 to 80% of patients are satisfied with their treatment depending on the ailment."

I believe this anecdotal evidence is intentionally misleading.

Comments are encouraged.
