Job Description

Assistant or Associate Professor
Tulane University, Biochemistry Department
The Department of Biochemistry, Tulane University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be a highly interactive scientist with a strong record of research accomplishments and a demonstrated ability to utilize interdisciplinary approaches for solving important problems in the biomedical sciences.

Candidates with research strengths in the following areas are encouraged to apply: genetic/genomic approaches to the mechanistic basis of disease; structural/functional studies of human proteins; and the molecular biology and protein biochemistry of model organisms for the study of cancer and infectious disease. The candidate will be expected to establish a vigorous, well-funded research program and to participate in medical and graduate education.

Job Requirements
Ph.D., in Biochemistry or related field, Postdoctoral training, experience in education desired.
