The Texas school system is determining whether the "strengths and weaknesses" of evolution should be included in their new biology curriculum. It looks like a not so veiled attempt at teaching creationism in the schools.

As scientists, I believe we must always look out for movements that attempt to under-educate the youth in this country. These decisions affect the next generation of scientists.

Any thoughts on the topic are welcome.

Your point is a good one but I'm not certain how relevant it is the science education. It is already at such a diminished state that this is more a symptom than an agent.
