i was doing the n tosylation of n-desmethyl clarithromycin using tosylated propargylalcohol, DIPEA.
i was suppose to heat the rxn at 110 deg for 16 hrs. i left it overnight. the next morning what i saw was a big mess. rxn got heated up about 125 deg. most of the DIPEA got evaporated color became brown.and i see no product. after work up i got a brown solid. i am very much worried.
can anyone suggest me any ideas about getting any product from that mess(or atleast starting material will be fine).

plz plz help me.

Try to set up that reaction at room temperature with dimethylaminopyridine (catalytic amount).
Good luck!
