Organized by Neuropharmacology, in association with IUPHAR, this satellite symposium to the 2008 meeting of the Society for Neuroscience will bring together international experts to review similarities within different classes of receptors and the implications for drug discovery.

Developments in our knowledge of the following major drug targets will be covered by the speakers listed below:


Ionotropic Glutamate Receptors - AMPARs, NMDARs and KARs
GABAA Receptors
P2X Receptors
Nicotinic Receptors
5-HT3 Receptors & Glycine Receptors

To supplement the invited program, abstracts are invited for poster presentation at the conference. A limited number of submissions will be selected for presentation as short oral communications within the conference program.
