Tenure Track Position in Experimental Organic Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in the Fall semester 2008. Appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with tenure, contingent upon commensurate scholarship and research record, will also be considered. Candidates must have a PhD in Organic Chemistry or a closely related area and significant post-doctoral research experience. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain an externally funded research program, and teach in the organic division at the graduate and undergraduate levels. All areas of experimental organic chemistry will be considered. Details regarding the Department, the graduate program and the position can be found at http://www.uta.edu/chemistry Junior candidates should submit via e-mail attachment (PDF only) a complete CV, including all publications, a brief description of planned research (not to exceed 5 pages), a statement of teaching philosophy and should arrange for 3 recommendation letters to be sent directly to organicsearch@uta.edu. Senior applicants should send a complete CV, including all publications, a summary of research accomplishments, current and past funding and the names of three references also to organicsearch@uta.edu. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. This is a security sensitive position, and a criminal background check will be conducted on finalists.
